On July 26th, 2008 Jagdbombergeschwader 32 (Fighterbomberwing 32) celebrate its 50th Anniversary since established in 1958 in Lechfeld. The unit was founded here on July 22th, 1958 flying F-84F since 1966, when it completes the transaction to F-104G. The delivery of the first Tornado IDS took place in 1984, and in 1991 there was the arrival of the first ECR. JaboG32 is currently the only unit in Luftwaffe equipped with the SEAD's role Tornados flying with the two Squadrons, 321 "Tigers" and 322 "Monsters".

On sathurday the base opened its door for a big family festival. Unfortunately, as always in Germany, there weren't any flying activities, but only a static display in a restricted area.

Instead on friday 25th the base's staff have organized a spotter day for the aviation enthusiasts. We have got the opportunity to take pictures near the touch down point of the runway, and then to the aircrafts in static display.
The highlight was surely the new Tornado 45+23 in special c/s for celebrate the event. Also present was the Lechfeld based Tornado 46+48 in tiger c/s, and the 43+65 from Nörvenich. The last german special was the Bo105P1 from KHR36.

A surprise come also from the British delegation that have brought the new Hawk T1 XX184 from 19 Sqn in WWII special c/s and the all black XX307. From Hungary came the shark mouth L-39 and a couple of Tornados came also from Italy, from 6th and 50th Wings, unfortunately in classic grey scheme.

A special thanks is for the people of Jagdbombergeschwader 32 that have organized a perfect spotters day. Many thanks!!!
